Check List

Here's a check list of the top 12 exciting things in my life that i would like to share with my loved ones:

1.Unemployed - check
2.Spend most of my day on the computer - check
3.I have become VERY lazy - check
4.Hennepin county sent me an e-mail stating that they will call me for an interview and have NOT done so as of yet - check
5.I came in a close 2nd (first loser) for a director position - check
6.I'm losing hair on my head and gaining hair in places where we won't talk about - check
7.I continue to spend money like i have a job - check
8.I'm golfing in October - check
9.I'm so lazy that i have a neighbors basketball hoop laying in my driveway from about 2 months ago that i have not found time to roll it back to his house, which is a few houses down - check
10.I tend to forget about this blog despite always being on the computer - check
11.I'm probably going to the Vikes game this week (see #7)
12.I grew a porn-stache in protest of not getting a job interview, but finally shaved it and now i'm not cutting my hair until i get that interview (it looks great and the neck hair is included in this protest - check

On a lighter note:

1.Renee, my mom and I went to Bayfield for Applefest which was nice.
2.We had to put our cat, Jafar, down sunday night as he had a ton of issues from cancer on. Renee struggled with it as she was doing everything she could for about a week but he was just getting worse. I went with her to put him down, which she did, but i left before she actually did it. It's weird going from being home all day with him to being alone with my computer and music. I went from a guy who hated cats to a guy who shead a tear (that's right i cried a touch and if you have a problem with that Dave or Tom I'm right here. Sorry still a little emotional) and now planning on getting another cat.
3.My mom is most likely moving into our house this weekend.
4.Renee and I are going to Vegas in February as she has a conference out there - that should suck.
5.Looking forward to going to Colorado for Christmas but it will be weird as Renee is going to North Carolina.
6.Health wise things are what they are.
7.Despite the length of this blog entry I am still unemployed!

Hope all is well - Ryan

12th week...

For some reason I put 12 weeks on my last entry, that was only 10. So on Tuesday I went to the clinic again for Prenantal Screens and Tests. That only means they will test for down syndrom or trisomy 18 (which I have no idea what that is). So we went in and got a good 30-40 minute ultra sound! It was awesome! We could see arms, legs, the baby SUCKING IT'S THUMB!! For all this time I was trying to really disattach myself, not give it a name, not wonder if it was a boy or girl, but I couldn't help it this time. It's real now. The baby was flipping, kicking, waving, EVERYTHING. So I thought I would share some pictures we got with you guys! We don't get the results for a while so as soon as I get those I will blog!

~Apryl

Ok so the pictures in the upper left: Top one is the baby sucking it's thumb and the bottom one is of the whole body and a little leg!!!
The 2 next to that: Top one is the baby waving and the bottom one shows the heart beat and where the line is across the picture where it breaks is the baby's heart!

44.5 and still going!

Sure that's impressive that you ran a marathon after turning 30 but let's really try testing your age and endurance. I have now gone 44.5 days without working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If my St. Cloud State math is correct 44.5 is larger than 26.3 making it a more difficult and impressive feet. Can you imagine what i have been going thru in that time, sitting at a computer which wears on the eyes and my fingers not to mention carpol tunnell - St. Cloud State spelling, looking thru papers getting my fingers all inked up, taking tests at my age, interviewing when i used to be the interviewee - spelling again, and not to mention getting rejected on a daily basis! It's a tough life when you reach 32 so soak in the easy life at 30!

Ryan

26.2 AGAIN!

Some would call me RETARDED for running 26.3 miles for no good reason and doing it 3 times this month!....but I had to challenge myself. Now that I am 30 I guess I feel like I need to work a little harder. (I had to get a cholesterol test at the Dr last week = OLD...!)

Hey guys.

Congrats Apryl! ahh i cant wait.

and Sarahh that is so amazing, 26.5 miles, what was that for??

This past weekend i had a softball tournie at myrtle beach. It was insane. The first day we played three games and the first game, my first at bat i hit one over the fence and we only won that game 1 to 0 because of my homerun. We got to the last game of the day and we lost 2 to 0 so we had to play all day sunday. :[ just because we had a bad game. On Sunday, lets see our first few games were kinda easy then it got harder, I made a diving catch in center field and got a horible head ache and was seeing stars but i made the catch lol. Uhmm game, game, game, okay so now were down to the sixth game of the day and this is the game that we have to beat the team were playing two times because they havnt lost yet, we were down 5 to 2. there were two outs in the last inning and and i was up to bat there were runners on first and third and i hit one strait to the fence and i got a single so now its 5 to 4 and lexis up and she hits me in so now were tied. We went into extra innings and a girl on the other team got home. luckily we were home; we scored two and won that game!

its now about eight i think and we had been playing back to back games since eight this morning. and we had a three and a half hour drive home so the coaches wanted to go home and take second but we were all like you cant do this to us weve made it all this way and we just beat them. so we played and WE WON THE WHOLE THING!; there was a ball hit to the outfield and ally threw it in to home and a girl was running full speed home i got the ball and taged her and she took me out, i got up and i couldnt breath, i got the wind knocked out of me, it was so scary.

It is now monday and i am so sore and tired. Im brused and cut everywhere, im still having trouble breathing and my ribs are killing me from where i got hit :[ but ill be fine.

oh softball training has started now for school softbal and thats rough. but thats okay i get to see my baseball friends! :P

So thats how my weekend went! :P

Love you all; jordan!

26.2 MILES

Hi Guys!

I finished my first marathon around the 5 hour mark today. I was so stiff from the 45 degree weather along with the down pour rain and wind. I locked up around mile 8 and it was a struggle from there.

I am attaching a few photos. The first one is right before I finished. I was soar, soaked and crying. The second one is of a Marine who ran the whole marathon in "Boots and Uts" (boots and uniform) carrying an American Flag and a USMC flag.

Thank you for all your support!
Love you!
sarah

ultrasound 12 weeks

well...i had my second appointment today. sarah was able to come with. when we got there my doctor explained we were just going to try to hear the heart beat with no ultrasound, which was a disappointment. as we were trying to hear the heart beat, the machine was silent. i was very nervous. she thought she could hear it moving around. she said she wanted to get an ultrasound just in case. so we were able to get pictures and see the baby and hear the heart beat for a couple of seconds. when the screen came on the baby was all over the place bouncing around. it was pretty exciting to watch!! for a split second we heard the heart beat but the baby continued to dance around so it went away. where the 2 XX's are that is the head! the doctor said baby is about 4 cm long! :))
